Here is the brief I have taken from the ISTD 'Mutton Quad' brief, which I have then re-written to suit what I want to do more of in terms of design work.

Brief Analysis

I wrote down 3 main areas of design that the brief allowed me to cover:

I then had to create a table comparing the subject, problem, product, range and distribution, for each brief:

This helped me narrow down my choice of brief from the original 5 from ISTD, before re-write a brief that could bring elements from different briefs, but essentially be a gateway for me to be able to explore the area of graphic design that I like, and want to do more of.

Brief Selection

Here are 5 briefs I have selected as oens that have interested me the most. They are all ISTD briefs as they are typography based briefs:

The two briefs I liek the msot are the Mutton Quad and the Type Factory as they are the less vague briefs and have a clear sturcture to work to.

Here is the brief we have been given for 'Product Range Distribution'.
I will look at previous live briefs from D&AD, ISTD and YCN, and choose 5 briefs that I would like to do, considering the areas of Graphic Design I want to develop skills in, and do more of.
